Not Slowing Down In 2025 At Age 58

I started running in December 2020 at age 54 during my 100+ pound weight loss journey.

After finishing my first marathon in 2023, I wasn’t sure if I’d ever do another marathon. However, my goals for 2025 are next level for me: Growth happens outside your comfort zone.

In March 2025, I have a 10-Miler scheduled. Then in May of 2025, I have a half marathon followed by Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga just 15 days later on May 18th, 2025. I plan to finish out 2025 with a November marathon.

Why Triathlon?

A 70.3 is out of my current comfort zone. It’s 70.3 miles: a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1 mile run. I’m not a good swimmer, but I’m a better swimmer than I was in early 2024. I don’t mind biking and running is my favorite of the three areas.

The Training Never Stops!

I use TriDot along with a Triathlon Coach plus I have a Swim Coach. I typically train 6 days a week, but my unofficial training day is often active recovery like a 30 minute walk.

TriDot is an amazing training platform. My workouts are loaded in the app and the app communicates with my Garmin watch.
